Privacy Statement

Atlas Webdevelopment, located at Rode Weeshuisstraat 12, 9712 ET Groningen, is responsible for the processing of personal data as set out in this statement.

Atlas Webdevelopment processes your personal data because you use our services and/or because you provide it to us yourself. We may process the following personal data:

  • Bank account number
  • Address details
  • Phone number
  • Email address
  • IP address
  • (General) location data
  • Data about your activity on our website

Special and/or sensitive personal data

Our website and services do not intend to collect data about website visitors under the age of 16, unless they have consent from a parent or guardian. However, we cannot verify whether a visitor is older than 16.

We recommend parents stay involved in their children's online activities to prevent data about minors from being collected without parental consent. If you believe we have collected personal data about a minor without that consent, please contact us at info@atlas-webdev.com, and we will remove this information as soon as possible.

Purposes and legal bases for processing

Atlas Webdevelopment processes your personal data for the following purposes:

  • To be able to call or email you if this is necessary to carry out our services
  • To inform you of changes to our services and products
  • To perform agreements and deliver goods and services
  • To comply with legal obligations, such as keeping records for tax purposes

We process personal data on the basis of the following legal grounds:

  • Performance of an agreement
  • Legal obligation
  • Legitimate interest (such as business operations and communication with clients)

Automated decision-making

Atlas Webdevelopment does not make decisions based on automated processing that could have (significant) consequences for individuals. No automated decision-making takes place without human intervention.

Retention periods

Atlas Webdevelopment does not retain your personal data for longer than strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which the data was collected. We apply the following retention periods:

  • Financial administration: 7 years (invoices, bank statements and similar records), in accordance with the statutory retention obligation
  • Contact details and correspondence without an agreement: a maximum of 1 month after the last contact

Sharing personal data with third parties

Atlas Webdevelopment only provides personal data to third parties if this is necessary for the performance of our agreement with you or to comply with a legal obligation.

We use external service providers, such as web hosting and email services. Data processing agreements have been concluded with these parties to ensure an appropriate level of security and confidentiality.

Your rights

You have the right to view, correct or have your personal data deleted. You also have the right to object to the processing of your personal data, to withdraw any consent you have given and to make use of your right to data portability.

This means you can submit a request to us to send the personal data we hold about you in a computer file to you or an organisation named by you.

You can send a request for access, correction, deletion, data transfer, withdrawal of consent or objection to processing to info@atlas-webdev.com.

To make sure the request was made by you, we ask you to send a copy of your ID. In this copy, please black out your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone), passport number and citizen service number (BSN). This is to protect your privacy.

We will respond to your request as quickly as possible, and within four weeks at the latest.

You also have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) via their website.

Security of personal data

Atlas Webdevelopment takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate technical and organisational measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorised access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorised alteration.
